We have growing a pool of repairers who can fix electrical items, household items and clothing. If you like to mend things, like to figure out how things work and are willing to take a look at whatever people bring in, then we would love to have you. We aim to run Repair Cafes monthly on a Saturday morning. Typically people book slots in advance (one repair per hour per repairer). Customers sit at a table with the repairer while they do the repair. However these are our first events, so there will be an element of learning ourselves, which is why we are so pleased that Bath Share & Repair are helping us with mentoring and support to launch the first Chippenham Repair cafe. We’ve teamed up with Cycle Chippenham and the #BigBikeRevival from Cycling UK to offer FREE Cycle checks and minor repairs at the Repair Cafe as well as FREE updated Chippenham Cycle Maps.
Cycle repairs were very popular at our launch event. To help us gauge numbers, Cycle Chippenham will be adding an Eventbrite booking for October Cycle Repairs shortly once they confirm repairer availability.
