Wiltshire Council have partnered with Severn and Wye Energy to offer Free help and grant funding to Small to medium sized enterprises Hospitality and Leisure businesses in Wiltshire. You need to be within one mile of a town centre and , be in the retail, hospitality, and leisure sectors to qualify for this grant. The grant could for example be used to install energy efficient lighting or energy efficient appliances, and will vary depending on the outcomes of the survey.
There is absolutely nothing to lose in applying for this grant, as the survey is free, and the grant of up to £6000 is non match funded!
For businesses not in the hospitality or retail sector, or more than one mile outside of the town centre, the Fit for Net Zero Grant could be for you. Wiltshire Council have partnered with Severn and Wye Energy to offer Free help and grant funding to Small to medium sized enterprises in Wiltshire. The entry point is a Free energy efficiency survey from Severn Wye. Based on the outcomes of the survey you can obtain 50% matched funding for grants up to £30,000. The grant could for example be used to install energy efficient lighting or energy efficient appliances or machinery, and will vary depending on the outcomes of the survey.
At the time of writing – 23rd June 2025, this grant is fully funded, but they run out quite fast.
Our thermal camera scheme works equally well for business premises as it does for residential properties. Our thermal cameras are available to borrow over a weekend from November to March. With funding from Chippenham Town Council we now have four thermal cameras, compatible with iPhone and Android phones.The cameras can be used to analyse where you are losing heat in your premises.
