Solar Panels on roof

Melksham Environment Group Joins Zero Chippenham Community Solar Buying Scheme

We’re delighted that the Melksham Environment Group (MEG) has joined the Zero Chippenham Community Solar buying scheme.

Formed in 2024 as a voluntary group, MEG aims to educate, inform, inspire, involve and empower all those living in, working in, or visiting the Melksham Community Area in averting, mitigating or adapting to, the Climate Crisis.

The Zero Chippenham Community Solar buying scheme now has over sixty installation in Chippenham and the surrounding towns and villages saving over 300 tonnes of CO2 since the scheme was launched. The scheme offers free independent advice to anyone wanting to install solar, and a free no obligation quotation from a trusted local installer. It is available to both domestic roof tops and small businesses.

The Melksham Environment group joins Sustainable Calne, RWB Environmental, and Sustainable Sherston in partnership with the Zero Chippenham Community solar buying scheme.

I’m delighted the Melksham Environment Group has partnered with us on the Community Solar scheme. Solar is very much in the news at the moment with the current energy crisis, and as our neighbouring town the Melksham Environment Group represent the perfect partners for our Solar scheme.
